The OECD announced today a risk awareness tool to assist multinational companies that may be doing business in countries characterized by weak governance, particularly sub-Saharan Africa. The tool, in the form of a document, is available on the OECD web site.
The document provides a series of questions that companies doing business in these countries should ask in areas regarding obeying the law, vetting business partners, dealing with public officials and crticizing the government.
