Convergence in 5 Years According to Tweedie

Sir David Tweedie, Chairman of the IASB, testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee last Wednesday. Tweedie stated that, already, more than 100 countries recognize international accounting standards. He also predicted that in the coming five years, most differences in accounting standards will have been reconciled. CFO.com has a story on the hearing here.
