Directors and Officers' Liability in the UK


A new report by a UK law firm has just been issued on D&O liability in the UK. Barlow Lyde & Gilbert reviews the impact of the 2001 Company Law Reform Bill in the UK. They review issues such as corporate manslaughter, criminal market abuse, defense costs and recent litigation in the D&O liability area. The review the impact of the 2003 Combined Code, its similarity to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and a report from the Financial Reporting Council on the Code. The firm also looks at Australian court decisions regarding D&O insurance.
